Hi there, my name is Kyle Thompson. I am a full-time career Firefighter/EMT in the South Texas Coastal Bend. I started Thompson Tactics (now Patriot Response) because I feel that in today's world, there are many people that are un-educated when it comes to firearms. Reasons as to why we have them, what they can be used for, and how to safely handle them. I want to help educate both parties, those who are against guns, and those that are pro-gun that just want to better their skills with their firearms. Working as a firefighter in my area, we operate alongside our local police department and we get to see a lot of the good and bad that they have to deal with. With everything that is going on in the world currently I truly believe everyone should be prepared and know how to defend themselves.
As someone who grew up around guns, and has a strong respect for what they are capable of, my first priority in this industry is safety.
We are teaching a variety of classes, which you will find on the "Classes" page. In case you were wondering, no, I am not a law enforcement officer or former special forces operator. Although I am a very regular shooter, I am just a proud American patriot who happens to be very passionate about helping people and educating others on how to stay safe in this crazy world we live in.
